Delete your account

What will be deleted

When your deletion request is processed, we permanently remove:

• Your account: email address and login credentials
• Every share you created, including the encrypted payload, thumbnails and metadata
• Large files stored in encrypted chunks on box.sortia.de
• Failed-attempt counters tied to your shares

Server access logs are rotated on their normal schedule and contain no account content. Anything you saved to your own device stays on your device and goes away when you uninstall the app.

Deletion is completed within 30 days of your request. Residual copies in backups are purged within a further 30 days.

Request deletion

Enter the email address of your Box account. We confirm the request by email and then delete the account. This covers accounts created in the Android app and in the web app.

Keep the account, delete only data

If you only want your shares removed while keeping the account, use the data deletion page. You can also delete any share yourself inside the app at any time.
